About Her Talk
Heal the Mother, Heal the Child
Our children are our greatest teachers because they reflect both the harmony and chaos of our lives. Witnessing this led April on a search within to heal herself and feel on purpose.
After starting her professional career as a wedding cake designer under the namesake April Cakes, April founded her next company, Granola Girl in 2008. The company now services over 300 grocery stores in Western Canada.
In 2017, April launched the Granola Girl Foundation, a fundraising platform to provide scholarships for youth in the areas of girl empowerment and entrepreneurship.
April is also a co-founder of Serendipity Tea Party and Good in the Hood, heart based networking events.
Since 2015, April has been serving her community as an intuitive coach and start-up business consultant. She is passionate about connection, deeper conversations and finding Spirit, Truth, Freedom, and Love in all the work that she does. Recently, April has become a certified guide to help other “Discover Your Sacred Gifts” and works with passion and purpose driven women.
